The Flüchtlingsrat was founded as early as 1991 in the Unna district. It is still active for the integration and problems of refugees up to the present day.

- Regular question time together with the Unna immigration authority
- Establishing contacts to specialist offices
- Clarification of legal issues
- Information about voluntary activities
- Coordination of voluntary work in the Unna district
The Kreishaus accommodates the Flüchtlingsrat [refugee council].
